The Martin Band Instrument Company was established in Chicago prior to 1891 and would be the oldest manufacturer of band instruments in America had production not been interrupted by the great Chicago Fire. In 1906 the company was reestablished in Elkhart, Indiana. It was later sold to the Wurlitzer Company and then purchased by Leblanc and moved to Kenosha, Wisconsin, where it has steadily been producing some of the world’s finest trumpets for more than 20 years.
