This composition blends contemporary classical music with contemporary dance music, and is written for trumpet ensemble and rhythm section. It opens with an intricate melodic statement by a lone trumpet with drums, and then builds to an improvisatory section before relaxing into a period of stillness before the final driving recap of the melody. The use of electronic effects provides an interesting twist to the texture of this piece. The initial trumpet melody is not for the feint hearted!
