the infantry during the American Civil War. Each call is accompanied by historical notes and
direct quotes from the bugler's instruction manuals of the period. The accompanying CD contains
all bugle calls, as performed on the bugle by the author. When appropriate, the command is
spoken before the call is played. Also included in the book are interesting anecdotes on the bugle
and it's history.
