Circa 1910 piccolo by V. Kohlert & Sons stamped as pitched in the key of D Low Pitch, but is probably in the key of Eb. Made of black ebony (?) with nickel-silver ferrules and 6 pin-mounted keys. Stamped “Tonk - Chicago / V. Kohlert & Sons / Makers / Graslitz / Austria” on the body. There is also a medallion stamped underneath that with the words “Chicago / Paris / London”. No cracks. Still to be restored. No case.
