The mouthpiece is great except (see comments)
I don't like the Heavy Mass. The playability is great with a comfortable rim. I simply wish it would be available with a regular or even a skeletonized mouthpiece blank.

Unique Cup
Initially, there is a bit more physical weight to this piece, it's not heavy per se, but you can tell it's more substantial than a traditionally cut mouthpiece. The rim is comfortable for me. I often have a difficult time with shallow cup mouthpieces, which is why the V aspect here was intriguing to me. That said, I can play quite well on this unlike many other shallow cup pieces I have and I did not find my lips "bottoming out" at all. This piece also has very noticeable characteristics dependent upon the volume of air (dynamics) you put through it... At Pianissimo you get this beautiful, airy "jazz type" sound and at Fortissimo it's literally a screaming lead and easy to reach up in the stratosphere. Over all I am happy I bought this piece and will use it in a variety of recording sessions.
