Best described as the Otter Box for trumpets, Shieldz protects against scratches and dents.
Guaranteed to guard against damages, Shieldz will keep your trumpet safe.
Bought 2 of these and am using BOTH of them on my C / Bb Trpts -- specifically the piece that snaps onto the crook of the bell tubing -- for 2 reasons.
1. The rubberized / vinyl curved piece protects from potential dings / dents (a BIG plus)... AND it does NOT change or adversely affect the performance characteristics of the horn.
2. While I play, I release tiny droplets that collect on the rubberized piece INSTEAD of the metal (in that area)... thereby keeping that part of the crook clean and protecting it from any potential degradation (as has occurred to the lacquer of my 1965 Bach Strad).
This rubberized piece "snaps" on easily and STAYS in place, while NOT scratching the surface of your horn -- a major plus. And it can be placed interchangeably on any of your other horns with ease. So, if you want to perform and have your horn look pristine, just remove it at the time of the performance, drop it in your case, and then re-place it immediately afterwards.
I like the product SO MUCH, I am going to buy 3 more for my other horns -- worth the price.
