Its quality as warm-up mute is same as Warm-up trumpet or even better actually.
Some people prefer Warm-up, and some prefer e-Brass Jr.

BEST BRASS WARM-UP JR.
This mute did not offer the low volume that I need for my situation. My 20 year old BB aluminum mute is much softer. The warm up jr. sounds like a straight mute but not much softer. It does slot pretty well and it's light weight. I will be exchanging it for the aluminum BB mute.

Excellent Warm-Up/Practice Trumpet Mute
This mute is very well made as all Best Brass mutes are. This mute works as well at dampening the sound as its big brother/sister, the Best Brass Warm-Up mute. The difference between the two is the size and a slight difference in the sound characteristics, but both are excellent, play well and in tune. I use both of them and switch between them for a little variety.
