Dillon Bb/A Piccolo Trumpet

This picc continues to blow me away (no pun intended). Granted, fit and finish are not quite Schillke or Yamaha level, but Dillon have definitely surpassed their benchmark of "2/3 the horn for 1/3 [less, in this case] the price."

Intonation is *very* good, and tone quality is excellent. The first time I played the Telemann on this horn, my partner looked up and said, "Is that a new horn? It sounds great!"

Finding the right mouthpiece is key. Shorter trumpet-shank mouthpieces seem to work best, but a cornet-shank mouthpiece in a cornet-to-trumpet adapter is serviceable.

All in all, I'm beyond pleased with this horn and can't wait to try it out in public.
