The Egger long trumpet combines the practical advantages of the 4-hole system with the authenticity of the holeless natural trumpet. As an absolute classic in the instruments, it has a radiant and extremely mixable sound combined with a very direct response and good intonation. Depending on the historical presentation of the sound piece, the instrument is used for Renaissance, Baroque, Classical or Romanticism. It is playable in virtually all the moods of historical trumpet literature.
