Good for what it is
It's a reasonably robust stand. It's big, and more suitable for a studio than a gig. The peg is rather small, and works well with a flugelhorn as well as a tenor. I have not tried it with a bass.
The "internet lore" is that this is less stable. The key is to position the horn so that the slide is directly over one of the legs,
