Yamaha FH16E4 Flugelhorn mouthpiece
I bought this mouthpiece mainly to see if it is a size bigger than a 1, 1/2 ACB mouthpiece that is designed with the extension MDF. It is. Depth of the cup is similar but rim size is bigger. Just what I was hoping for. I can't play the mouthpiece at this moment due to a recent operation on my throat. The doctor has told me to hold off on playing and practicing until the 2nd week in March. After that, I have a lot of experimentation to try, but I am hopeful. I am most excited about the rim of the mouthpiece since it is close to my Stomvi Flex 1, which, up to now, is my main mpc on the flugelhorn. I am hoping for that buttery sound, along with a better range ability. I will let you know.
