Edwards B454-HB Bass Trombone

The B454-E has received a major facelift with the addition of the patented Harmonic Bracing and material updates. Borrowing from the B502 models, this bass trombone uses yellow brass tubing within the valve wrap and the B454’s yellow brass turn points to keep the center and response right where we want it. The Harmonic bracing utilizes harder density cross braces as well as the lower bell cross brace. The Axial Flow Valves still have an open feel, but the ease in the upper register comes in now, and the clarity of articulation is much improved.

As we move towards a more organic response, working with bass trombone players we’ve recognized that we need to make an instrument natural to the player rather than forcing them to change their ways.
