Used Paxman 23E F/Bb double French horn in lacquer finish, manufactured ca. 2002. Features include yellow brass construction, Geyer-inspired Model 23 wrap, 12mm bore, and detachable Europa (ML-style) bell tail/flare. Instrument is in good/fair condition with surface scratching, lacquer wear throughout, some smaller dings/dents, and some prior minor dent repair.
This instrument has some exterior red rot throughout due to be stored-long term in its case - the leadpipe is in good shape and this is mostly cosmetic. The horn is priced accordingly, given the cosmetic wear.
Valves are in great shape with compression on all combination of 1.0 or under. This horn plays well and is extremely open with a ringing sound. No case.
