Bach mouthpieces are designed to meet every conceivable playing need and have for nearly three quarters of a century. A Bach mouthpiece can make a good instrument play better. Volume and excellent intonation; ease of response in the high and low register; rich, uniform timbre throughout the range; resistance calculated to increase the player’s endurance - these characteristics explain why the best professional artists choose Bach.
Bach fluegelhorn mouthpieces are regularly stocked in trumpet model numbers. They have identical rims, but deeper, fluegelhorn-style cups, a larger throat and backbore.

These were exactly what I have needed to resolve my issues with my Benge 3X Flugelhorn. My Stork and Wick mouthpieces did not work with the Benge lead pipe and other lead pipes affected the sound and feel of the horn in different ways. Sometimes the simple solution is the best, so when I returned to my favorite Bach 1 mouthpiece on my trumpet I decided to go to Dillon for a flugelhorn fix.
