Update on this horn: Played it with my pianist. I think it plays naturally better in tune with piano than any of my Bb trumpets! 😳Practicing “The Trumpet Shall Sound” it produces a really nice bright Baroque sound I haven’t had before! So, Im bumping my assessment!
I’m a very experienced Bb trumpet player, but have only really played one C trumpet and I didn’t like it. I don’t feel qualified to give my Y-fort the “great” rating. That being said, I’m really enjoying it. It plays beautifully for me. Intonation seems good. It is a really beautiful instrument and it functions perfectly. I’m rather stunned I hadn’t heard of these before my search. I’m looking forward to next time I get with my pianist or sub in the local orchestra! I’m loving the horn so far!
