Used Conn 8D F/Bb double French horn in lacquer finish, manufactured in Elhkart, Indiana ca. 1966. Features include a .468" bore, Kruspe wrap, nickel silver construction, and extra large fixed bell. Instrument is in good condition apart expected surface scratching and lacquer wear, dings/smaller dents, prior dent repair, and some wear at contact points.
This horn has previously been relacquered (the new lacquer is wearing throughout) and has previously received a valve rebuild. Compression is excellent. Includes original Conn case. This is a terrific playing example of a letter series Elkhart 8D and plays with a full and clear (not too dark) sound.
