Used Yamaha 567GDB F/Bb Double French Horn (SN: 001525)
Used Yamaha 567GDB F/Bb double French horn in lacquered gold brass. Features include a modified Knopf wrap, .472" bore, mechanical linkages, and medium gold brass detachable bell flare. Instrument is in fair condition with heavy surface scratching and lacquer wear, heavy dent repair, heavy pitting at contact points, prior resoldering, and other signs of repair.
The bell and bell tail have had shipping damage and have been repaired. The bell ring is cross-threaded, but usable, though it is recommended to use the instrument as a fixed bell horn.
The valves have good compression with the F side at a 2.0 and the Bb at around a 1.0. Despite the cosmetics and prior damage, this horn plays well with a good sound and good centering. Includes Conn fixed bell case.
