Used Yamaha YHR-87D Custom F/Bb French Horn (SN: 001981)

Used Yamaha Custom YHR-87D F/Bb French horn in lacquer finish. This model is an international-only release instrument and is uncommon in the USA. Features include a Knopf wrap, .472" bore, engraved valve caps, and medium detachable yellow brass bell flare.

Instrument is in poor condition with heavy surface scratching and lacquer wear, heavy metal wear at contact points (leadpipe too), and some evidence of some prior dent repair (primarily in the bell flare). Valves have good compression despite the wear and condition: the valves on the F side blow a 2 and under, the Bb side is at a 1 or under. The horn also plays well and has a good sound despite it all.

Instrument is best used as a project insturment - potentially outfitted with a new leadpipe/bell section.
